The 85th Annual IGAEA Conference will be held at Illinios State University (isU) in normal, illinois from July 25–29, 2010.
Our theme for this year’s conference is Sustainability: Our Discipline, Our Programs, Our Future. We use the term “sustainability” here in its most basic sense: our theme for the conference is on understanding the trends shaping our discipline and on building and maintaining viable, lasting graphic communications programs. We hope you will go home better equipped to teach today’s technologies and with better strategies for planning for the future of your programs.
Illinois is a great location to hold the IGAEA conference. Home to RR Donnelley & Sons, the largest commercial printing company in the USA, Illinois is rich in forward thinking industry with abundant wind energy farms and high-tech companies. The Land of Lincoln is steeped in American history. Abraham Lincoln is buried just outside Springfield, Illinois, which is also home to the Lincoln Museum. Born in Illinois, Ronald Wilson Reagan attended nearby Eureka College where you can find the Reagan Museum & Peace Garden. Illinois State University is situated in a real college town, with lots to see and do.
